About Velvet Hippo Games

Velvet Hippo Games is an independent tabletop game studio building atmospheric games about dangerous choices, memorable characters, and stories that survive the table.

We are focused on characterful systems, strong visual identity, and campaign experiences where the best moments come from tension, consequence, and player decisions.

Studio Development

Our games are designed to create the kind of stories players keep talking about after the session ends: narrow escapes, bad bargains, betrayals, scars, victories that cost too much, and crews that change over time. Our first project, Hellfire & Grimstone, is currently in development. VHG is early, independent, and building carefully. Follow along for studio updates and playtest news.
